The CRDA; Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, viewed a brief presentation by The Hard Rock Casino, as they look for financial assistance via rebates and district designations.
Representatives from Hard Rock are applying for an ‘entertainment retail district’ for their property that formerly housed the Taj Mahal Casino.
With CRDA approval, a new district designation would make Hard Rock eligible for rebates on sales taxes, construction costs and hotel room fees (luxury taxes) for up to 20 years.
Things are moving rapidly. Demolition efforts will start by JULY 2017. Full construction starts in AUG.
Hard Rock Atlantic City is scheduled to open by Memorial Day, 2018
