VIDEO > Tony Mazzone of Atlantic City thinks the VA (Veterans Administration) can do a much better job for those who served our country. A lot better. Too few resources are spent trying to locate military veterans in need, says Mazzone, a Marine veteran. That’s totally unacceptable.
Mazzone recently launched ACvets.org. It’s here to fill the void & take up the slack.
Mazzone & ACvets.org conducts coordinated outreach and pro-actively seeks out homeless, Atlantic County veterans in need of assistance.
- Getting Vets approved for housing
- Provide access to computers & laptops for job search
- Clothing – coats, underwear, suits, gloves, hats, shoes
- Toiletries, soap, shampoo, wash cloths, toothbrushes & toothpaste.
- Holiday meals, food drives, collect & distribute non-perishable items
- Collect & deliver donated vehicles.
- Help make Veterans more self-sufficient.
- Tap into local company alliances. Start job interactions. Get local business to consider Veterans first.
- Events & road trips: barbecues, sports, ‘Stand Downs’ & Air shows.
