Atlantic City Police Officers Save Newborn With Quick Response & CPR

On July 7, 2018 at 10:53 pm, Atlantic City police officers Robert Reynolds and George Mancuso responded to a residence in the 200 block of Atlantic Avenue.

ACPD responded to a report of a woman who had just given birth to a baby. The officers arrived to find the woman, 22 years old, in the bathroom. The newborn baby was still attached to his mother by the umbilical cord.

The baby boy was unresponsive and not breathing. Officer Reynolds immediately grabbed the baby and began CPR. After a short period of time, the baby began to breathe and cry.

The mother and baby were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division.
