Atlantic City is ready to break ground for Stockton University. It’s all part of an education and medical – ‘eds & meds’ strategy. The new construction will feature views of the beach, Boardwalk and ocean and will occupy land where Atlantic City High School once stood. Location: Where Atlantic, Albany, and Pacific Avenues merge.

Stockton could really boost the fortunes for Atlantic City, especially the lower Chelsea neighborhood of the city. Chris Paladino of ACdevco; Atlantic City Development Corp says this project could create 300 permanent jobs.

Stockton President Harvey Kesselman and AC’s Director of Planning believe the project will spur development through-out the city too.

Elizabeth Terenik, the city’s director of planning and development was quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer: “A project like this will change the dynamics of Atlantic City. It will bring in people that can support businesses and support real estate values.”

ACprimetime.com and many others desperate for developer momentum……love the concept of ACDevco; the Atlantic City Development Corporation.

It’s based on the big success of the New Brunswick Development Corporation, where economic development is much less likely to get bogged down by local politics and in-fighting.
