Council delayed discussion on how to deal with Air BnB, the online app that allows homeowners to easily rent their homes to visitors and tourists. City wants to levy some kind of fee. Hotel operators not happy that AirBnB properties don’t need to follow strict guidelines like hotels/motels do.

PR flacks and local news orgs boasted that casino revenue was up once again, proving that Atlantic City has turned the corner. Not so fast. Rev was DOWN in July & Aug for gaming inside the AC casinos. The only real growth is online gaming. This type of casino revenue is great for the casinos and the state….but it stinks for the residents and non-casino business operators of Atlantic City.  Internet gaming keeps people home…and out of Atlantic City.

Things might get worse when new casinos open in Massachusetts, NY and South Philly.
