Chelsea Neighborhood Association Update. Atlantic City, Sept. 2018

Our next Regular Meeting will be Thursday September 27, 2018 at 7:30 in Room 314, located on the third floor of the Stockton University Academic Center, 10 S. Albany Ave.

Limited parking spaces will be available in the Garage across from the University on Atlantic Ave. If you are able to park in that lot, the University will validate your parking ticket at the information desk located on the first floor of the Academic Center. Mention Chelsea Neighborhood Assoc. to get your ticket validated. Additional parking is available at the surface lot located at Boston and Pacific Avenues for $3 or metered street parking. Light refreshments will be offered compliments of Brian Jackson, Stockton University Chief Operating Officer.

Our September Guest Speakers will be;

Basilyn Bunting Ph.D. CSEP PMP, Executive Director American Engineering and Science Robotics Academy, who will speaking on the STEM program that is available to K-12 students from Atlantic City at the City Worthington Campus of the Atlantic Cape Community College,. We need your input regarding if the CNA should consider sponsoring some of our neighborhood students for this program through our Scholarship Program.

Ellie Siegel Esq. of Cresco Atlantic LLC will speak on the proposed Medical Cannabis Facility to be constructed at 901-905 Albany Ave.

October 17th. In place of our October meetings the Civic Associations of Atlantic City-UNITED will host a Candidates Debate for Freeholder at Large and Congressional Candidates at Dante Hall, 14 N. Mississippi Ave. More information will be in the October newsletter.


Founded in 1972

Mission: The purpose of the organization is the betterment of life in Atlantic City, with emphasis on quality of life issues in the 5th and 6th Wards.

Meetings are held in the cafeteria of Sovereign Avenue School and are open to the public. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month, except July, August and December. Meetings start at 7:30pm. Interested citizens and businesses are encouraged to become members of CNA. Annual dues are $15 for a family; $40 for a business; and $75 for a casino, payable in January. Mail checks to Chelsea Neighborhood Association, c/o Carol Ruffu, 375 N. Raleigh Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. A monthly newsletter is published and is available to members either by snail mail or electronically.
