Council President Small Wants To Double Pleasantville Toll

On May 16, Atlantic City Council President Marty Small told meeting attendees, that he wants the South Jersey Transportation Authority to increase the local AC Expressway toll fare by 75 cents, to $1.50.

Small says the monies would be used for tax relief. Opponents to the plan say the move amounts to nothing more than a tax increase for those who use the AC Expressway. Residents prefer that Council puts more time into growing it’s share of the PILOT, internet gaming and sports betting revenue.
