Miss America Organization Makes Atlantic City Home Base

The Miss America Organization announced the official opening of its new national office, headquartered at the Claridge Hotel on Park Place & Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

“In 2013, we announced that the Pageant was returning home to Atlantic City. Today, I’m pleased to make the same announcement for the Miss America Organization,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno.

“New Jersey is proud to honor this tradition and to be the home of the Miss America Organization. On behalf of the State of New Jersey: welcome home.”

Miss America’s long and rich history in Atlantic City continues to resonate in the community as we near the 2016 Miss America Competition and 95th Anniversary Celebration on September 13th at Boardwalk Hall.

“We are delighted to relocate our Miss America offices into the heart of Atlantic City,” said Sam Haskell, Executive Chairman and CEO of the Miss America Organization.

The offices are here…..but can Atlantic City keep the show here? That’s the big question.

Both AC & Miss America are in the midst of critical makeovers. Some say these once powerful entities have lost their way over the years, and only a fresh set of eyes and tactics can save these two American classics.
