It’s Official. Polercoaster on Atlantic City Boardwalk by Summer 2019.

The Atlantic City Polercoaster will open by Summer 2019.

The group behind the proposed Polercoaster on the Atlantic City Boardwalk will receive state aid. New Jersey (New Jersey Economic Development Authority) will pony up $34 million (28%) of the $138 million project.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, ACB Ownership, LLC will start construction next month (May 2017) to build a vertical roller coaster aka ‘Polercoaster’ adjacent to the Boardwalk, on the site of the former Sands Casino.

Atlantic City Polercoaster Construction Starts MAY 2017.

In February of 2016, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) approved the preliminary and final Polercoaster site plan. It allows the construction of a multi-level level amusement /entertainment complex located at the Boardwalk and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

The project includes a two-car drop ride, a surf club and wave pool, other rides and attractions, amusements, games, event space, retail and food service.
