Shuttered Trump Plaza Demolition on Atlantic City Boardwalk?

Sitting empty on the Atlantic City Boardwalk since Sept. 16, 2014, the former Trump Plaza Casino Hotel is being considered for a tear down. An adjacent 2,600-spot, Trump Plaza parking garage could be saved though.

Atlantic City officials say that Trump Plaza owner, Carl Icahn, has hired an engineering team to determine costs associated with demolishing the structure.

A knock down would not only remove an eyesore in the middle of the Boardwalk, it would provide more attractive access to Boardwalk Hall and Tanger Outlets.

An eyesore sitting in the middle of the Boardwalk… like a bad front tooth. It’s the first thing visitors see when they come off the AC expressway.
