Strikers continue to picket outside the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. Local 54 looking to get back benefits…given up years ago… for it’s members.
Taj owner; Carl Icahn says he did offer health plan to workers. Taj boss; Tony Rodio, has no current comment on this walk-out and disruption of summertime business. Steel Pier can’t be happy with the 24/7 protesting going on at the amusement pier’s front door, which is just across from Taj’s Boardwalk entrance.
Note: Tropicana president Tony Rodio is also president of the new entity that manages the Taj Mahal Casino Resort.
