Two Arrested for Tennessee Ave Beer Hall Burglary in Atlantic City

A bad omen for a great idea in a risky location? Even before it opened, a much anticipated business along Tennessee Ave in Atlantic City was burglarized. Arrests have been made.

On October 29, 2018, ACPD officers responded to the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall on the beach block of Tennessee Ave for a report of a burglary. Officers arrived to find that forcible entry had been gained into the business and flat screen televisions were stolen.

An investigation into a burglary at a business that has yet to open resulted in the arrest of two men.

An investigation by detectives of the Street Crimes Unit assisted by the Forensics Unit led to the location of surveillance photographs of two suspects. The photographs were distributed to officers and the public in an attempt to identify the men.

  • The good: Fresh, new development like a yoga studio, gourmet chocolate bar & coffee shop. Let’s not forget the classics: Piccilli Pub and Irish Pub.
  • The not-so-good: ex-offender housing, former sex-offenders, Needle exchange, homeless services, broad daylight drug transactions, dark streets, etc.

A.C. maintenance needed. It’s very dismal to drive through Atlantic City at night, especially Pacific Avenue. There are so many street lights out it’s almost scary. Whose responsibility is it to keep the lights on in Atlantic City?

Atlantic Avenue is probably just as bad but driving down Pacific was enough for me. Also, the bulkhead in the Inlet section is coming apart. Someone must be responsible for maintaining that.
