FACT: Shootings in Atlantic City decreased by 35% in 2015

ShotSpotter is now being used in 46 US cities:
• Atlantic City saw a 35% decrease in gun shots
• Other towns saw an average 13% reduction

More positive safety stats in Atlantic City: it looks like residents have been more willing to share information. The pressure ‘not to snitch’ isn’t working as much as it once did. Community outreach can certainly share the credit for that fact. Homework programs at Stanley Holmes Village, Coffee with a Cop, and Pizza with Police are just a few of the tools that have created a better relationship between police and the public. These initiatives lead to safer streets.
