Atlantic City Boardwalk Committee meeting notes from Wednesday, September 14, 2016.  Featured speaker was  Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA), Executive Director John Lamey

  • The ACIA has been responsible for the new lighting, safety and security cameras on the Boardwalk.
  • The ACIA will now be responsible for the popular 3D shows projected on the front Boardwalk Hall.  CRDA will fund the project. Could be operating for the Christmas season.

CASINO STUFF

  • Glenn Straub should be getting a TCO for his REVEL soon. A TCO; temporary certificate of occupancy is a document issued by a local government agency or building department certifying a building’s compliance with applicable building codes and other laws, and indicating it to be in a condition suitable for occupancy. Some staff hired to deal with issues that has held up the process.  CRDA Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 20 will decide REVEL’s fate.
  • Trump Plaza Beach Bar was torn down. Parking lot is now operational at Trump Plaza.
  • Potential buyer for the former Atlantic Club/Hilton on the Boardwalk.  Keep your fingers crossed.
  • Atlantic City Airshow on Wednesday, August 17 drew approximately 450,000 visitors to the region.
