Atlantic City Council members kick transportation can down the street again? Council once again delayed the much needed updates to the city’s rolling chair and tram rules. Proposed legislation has been on hold since May.

Changes for Atlantic City taxis, limousines and jitneys are also stuck in the sand.

The proposed rules were introduced in the Fall of 2014 and were designed to make AC transportation more appealing to tourists and residents.

The proposed agreement between Bader Field Sports LLC and Atlantic City was also put back on ice for a while.

This Bader/Sports concept would convert the shuttered Bader Field Airport into a sports complex. To date, Council President Gilliam and his council crew just can’t pull the trigger quite yet. Gilliam says council is still interested in the project though.

Atlantic City’s Council passed a resolution that supports legalization of marijuana for adults. Weed is currently legal for medicinal purposes only. Council says a pot tax could rake in hundreds of millions of dollars a year in new revenue. Local junk food vendors would see business boost by catering to those with a savage case of the munchies.
