Blatstein’s Media Tour on JUNE 1, 2015

SEE PICS & VIDEO. Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein took local journalists and members of the media on a sneek peek of The Playground on Monday JUNE 1.

During today’s press conference at The Playground at Caesars, Tower Investments, CEO Bart Blatstein announced the first phase of construction is moving along so quickly that he is now planning on a June 26 opening, a full week earlier than initially anticipated. The original date was July 3rd.

Phase #1 is a $50 million renovation. Crews are working around the clock for the opening of T-Street, an eight-venue music alley. A 2,000-person concert hall and bowling alley are planned for Phase #2.

Blatstein revels in the challenge of reviving Atlantic City. He’s already turned a run-down Philly neighborhood (Northern Liberties) area into a super trendy hotspot.

“Exactly 60 days ago I stood here at a press conference and announced the first phase of The Playground would be open by July 4th weekend,” Blatstein remarked. “It’s an extremely tight schedule but you can see by the transformational progress today that this is what Tower Investments does. We keep promises and get things done.

We are incredibly excited about opening T Street to the public on the weekend that we celebrate our nation’s birth.  This city is going through its own re-birth and Tower’s redesign of The Pier is only the beginning of our involvement in Atlantic City’s renaissance.”
