Atlantic City First Ward Candidate for 2015; Ron Brown

The first ward in Atlantic City currently looks like it was truly forgotten over the years. Republican candidate Ron Brown aims to change all of that, and his supporters are growing in number.

Brown is a certified public accountant, and works with Strike Force Protective Services, a private security firm. Born in Brigantine, Ron Brown graduated from Atlantic City High School. Brown says: Atlantic City government service should be voluntary. He would not accept a salary or any public benefits if elected.

Candidate for Atlantic City First ward council seat Ron Brown: Boardwalk re-construction and new seawall, encouraging Inlet area investment, quality housing and jobs….. are top priorities.

The Atlantic City tax rate is already unjustifiably high, Brown said. He will vote against any further increases. ‘The city’s budget is inflated’ It should be cut from its current level. “A $230 million budget is ridiculous for a city like Atlantic City,” he said in the Press of Atlantic City.

The zoning process should be streamlined and simplified to encourage development, and Atlantic City’s court system is in need of reform as well.

Ron Brown is confident he’ll win the primary in June. Brown plans to release a detailed platform in July.
