Atlantic Avenue Makeover, Thanks to NJ Dept of Transportation

The City of Atlantic City awarded close to $1 million from the New Jersey Department of Transportation to improve the look of Atlantic Avenue.

Streetscape improvements along Atlantic Avenue.

In a press release, Mayor Don Guardian said Atlantic Ave to get a much anticipated make-over: decorative LED lighting, more trees, new sidewalk pavers, bike racks, solar parking kiosks, benches, trash cans, and other enhancements. New signs may also be installed to point people towards points of interest.

“These improvements will provide a framework of design elements that promote a safe, friendly, vibrant and inviting streetscape environment. These funds are critical in revitalizing the downtown and spurring economic growth in Atlantic City” said Mayor Guardian
