Carlo Losco Talks Tourism w/ Social Media Team: THIS IS AC

Social Media Phenom > THIS IS AC. Many consider this trio a much needed positive voice in local news coverage of Atlantic City. Evan Sanchez, Dawn Belamarich & Donna Danielson believe there’s a ‘perception reality gap’ about AC. They want to ‘flip the script’ on all the negative media coverage that AC seems to attract on a daily basis.

THIS IS AC uses social media and other web tools to share positive news, stories and trends about Atlantic City.

Believe it or not, there’s plenty of it. These important items rarely get covered by traditional news sources due to either ambivalence, or lack of journalistic manpower.

Also in the AC Primetime News Studio with This is AC was economic evangelist; Carlo Losco. The Atlantic County Real Estate entrepreneur spilled the beans on a planned Asian Cultural Center project. This Chinatown influenced effort would cater to a growing Asian market that loves Atlantic City.

THIS IS AC was all ears as Losco shared info with Mel Taylor of AC Primetime Radio on Friday, January 8.

Losco: ‘we might soon see two Asian flights a day into AC International Airport. That’s 20,000 additional visitors to Atlantic City each year.

‘This concept would also be a great feeder from NY & Philly too’, says Losco.

Other benefits of an Asian Cultural Center:

  • Growing year-round tourism.
  • Might be near ‘The Walk / Tanger Outlets’.
  • Could be enclosed to promote year round activity.
  • Would accept China Union Pay credit card.
  • A ‘Little Italy’ could also be in the works.
