Atlantic City breathed a sigh of relief today. New Jersey voters said no to a ballot proposal allowing North Jersey casinos. Election results showed the ballot failing…. 79% to 21%.
The referendum asked whether two casinos should be allowed to open at least 72 miles north of Atlantic City.
AC has enjoyed a statewide monopoly on gambling since 1976.
