AC Foodie: Barbera’s Friendly Fish Market in Atlantic City

WATCH VIDEO.

Why has Barbera Seafood in Atlantic City been in business for almost 100 years? Is it the smile & friendly banter from current owner; Dominic Alcaro? Maybe it’s his great fried flounder sandwiches? Maybe both?

We stopped in recently for one of their signature fried flounder sandwiches. Lo and behind, look who we bumped into. Man about town, ‘AC Mike’ Lopez. Watch video.

“A MUST” Dominic was super friendly. Great fresh fish. Prepared well and a good price. Nothing fancy but clean, friendly and fantastic taste. A must do for an afternoon lunch.

FRESH seafood, great prices. I ordered a sea bass sandwich. It was ridiculously good.

Fried Seafood Goodness. Looking for some good fried seafood? You need to come here. They even have an outdoor patio to savor the food while it’s hot and fresh.

This no-frills fish market slings can’t-miss classics like fried seafood platters, crab cake sandwiches, clams on the half-shell and fish tacos.
